DAY ONE

Our Transport will pick you up from your hotel at 800am and proceed to Semenggoh Wildlife Center to see the Orang Utans at feeding time.

The drive through the scenic countryside takes you to your homestay destination at Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse, Borneo Highlands. Meet your Homestay family and have a lovely lunch  of local specialties specially prepared by your Homestay Mama! After lunch, get ready to explore your surroundings with your guides.

For trekking, there are 2 options to choose from depending on your interests and fitness .

Option 1 (EASY) : For those who prefer it free and easy,take an easy stroll to the Hot Springs  for dip and swim in the refreshing mountain stream.

Option 2 (CHALLENGING): Trek 2 hours (one way)  through secondary jungle and farms to a scenic 3 tier waterfall.

After trekking, our guide will take you on a longhouse tour. A longhouse is basically a terraced street of separate rooms covered by one roof, under the authority of a headman. Each family lives in its own separate room, and communal activities take place outside on the veranda. Get to know the history & culture of the  Bidayuh natives.

Dinner consists of local delicacies like jungle ferns, rice & meats cooked in bamboo and local seasonal fruits. See  & try out traditional music instruments, dance & costumes, basket weaving and blowpipe making.

What a day you just had! Hit the sack later where the only music you hear now is the music of the rainforest or that of your friend snoring!

DAY TWO

After breakfast, it’s KAYAKING time!! Kayak 11km downstream from Kpg. Bengoh to Kpg. Semadang. Have your picnic lunch followed by swimming and splashing on a sandy river bank.

After kayaking, get ready for a guided city tour of Kuching.  See Kuching’s famous landmarks like the Tua Pek Kong Temple, Astana ( residence of the Governor), China Town, Museums, Charles Brooke Memorial, Fort Margherita, Old Court House, the magnificient new State  Legislature Building, Old State Mosque etc. Get off the bus and do The Kuching Heritage Walk, exploring the Kuching Waterfront and its surroundings. This is also where you can shop for souvenirs and local handicrafts. The tour ends at 500pm.
